According to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), air conditioning systems with a capacity of over 12 kW must have a regular inspection programme in place. In the UK the inspection programme should be in accordance with the CIBSE Guide TM44:2007, Inspection of Air Conditioning Systems,
and be carried out by by a qualified air conditioning systems energy assessor.
